Calculations
Everything you type into a calculator is processed entirely in your browser. Coordinates, bearings, distances, station numbers and level notes are never transmitted, never logged and never stored on any server. Closing the tab discards them. This is a property of how the site is built, not a promise about how it is operated: there is no endpoint that could receive them.
Local storage
A small number of preferences are kept in your own browser's local storage, and never leave it:
cogokit.theme— whether you chose the light or dark theme.
Clearing your browser's site data removes all of them.
Analytics
Aggregate traffic is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint or track individual visitors across sites. It reports page views, referrers and country at the level of the site as a whole. No profile of you is built and nothing is sold.
Payments
There are none. Nothing on CogoKit is for sale at present, no payment processor is configured, and no purchase-related data of any kind is created.
Hosting
The site is served as static files from Cloudflare Pages. As with any web host, requests reach Cloudflare's edge network, which processes connection information such as IP address for the purpose of delivering the page and protecting the service.
Children
CogoKit is a professional and exam-preparation resource and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the change will be described on this page rather than slipped in silently. Questions about it can be raised through the same channel as a correction — see About.
